If you already have a blog, chances are that you are using WordPress as your platform. If you’re not, you should be. There are many reasons as to why WordPress is the most popular blogging platform on the Web today. Many people don’t use Wordpress as they think the Word “Blog” which means to them they have to blog all day everyday about stuff they are not really interested in. Or maybe they are interested but just don’t have the time to blog about it everyday. Well in todays world that does not have to be, there are so many wordpress plugins that you can use to automate your content.

Well first off I would like you to know that wordpress does more than just provide you with a blog, it also is able to provide you with the most amazing Sales Pages as well, which are the same as a bog in that you can still add the Wordpress plugins as well.

What make Wordpress such an amazing platform to produce your style of website is the ability to add the Wordpress Plugins...

If you are not sure what a plugin is, it basically adds new functions to a WordPress blog. A Wordpress plugin is essentially a program written in the PHP programming language that adds a specific set of features or services to the WordPress blog. All you have to do to add a new feature or service to your blog is find a relevant plugin, upload it to your plugin folder and then “activate” the plugin on the dashboard. It’s that simple.

That being said, there are literally thousands upon thousands of plugins out there (most of them are free) and if you are a newbie, you may get tempted to add as many plugins as you can to your blog. The bottom line is that you only need a couple of them to get your blog going. In order to help you with which plugins to choose, I’ve chosen the top 10 WordPress plugins that you must have.

Wordpress In terms of Internet marketing and getting rankings, WordPress offers the most search engine friendly blogging platform in addition to being very user-friendly. The other great thing about it is the number of Wordpress plugins which you can add to your blog and I have many of these loaded up into my site all doing their own thing.

1. Akismet

Don’t you just hate people leaving spam comments on your blog? I certainly do, and if you dislike such comments appearing on your blog, the Akismet plugin automatically filters them for you. I don’t have time to deal with spam and I hope you don’t either. It truely does do the most amazing job, yes it does require a little setup after activation, but thats easy enough to do. So this little Wordpress plugin to your must have Wordpress Plugins

2. All-In-One-SEO Pack

Got to love this Wordpress plugin, if you are looking for the ultimate plugin to transform your blog into an SEO optimized blog, then this is the one. It’s easy to use and before long you can be ranking for your keywords. Grab all your keywords and description and you are set to go.

3. MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer

If there’s one thing you don’t want, it’s for the blog to be banned from ping services. When you update or edit your blog, you automatically send a ping to let them know that your blog has been updated and that the changes need to be indexed. However, you can get banned from ping services if you end up doing this too often. In order to avoid this from happening, you need to use the MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer plugin. If you don’t have this then you can get it off me. This is another one of the amazing set of wordpress plugins that you need to get hold of.

4. Remote Database Backup

As one who has over-riden her blog with another, I cannot stress enough the importance of backup. Just as backup of your computer is important so is your website. Whatever you do on the Web, you need to have backups. Backing up data is one of those things that people don’t take seriously until a site failure happens to them. This plugin helps you backup your WordPress blog at any time.

5. SEO Smart Links

This is one of those Wordpress PLugins you have to have. This cool plugin allows you to automatically link keywords and phrases in your posts and comments with corresponding posts, pages, categories and tags on your blog. Furthermore, you can set up your keywords along with their own matching URLs. A must have if you want the maximum SEO benefit for your blog.

Make Your Own Website – Use New Versatile Theme

Wow I could hardly wait for this theme. I have built a lot of websites and am always struggling to find a Theme that will work for me, that allows me to have my own header, and background, so was so excited when I got this back from my outsourcer.

WP Robot How to Install

One of the best things about Wordpress is the ability to be able to use Plug-Ins to do just about anything. I have written before about this amazing set of plugins and I write again this time, only because there is an update of the program and I have finally got my head around how to use it as it is so different from the previous version.

So I sat down and did this very quick Video so you can follow the process and set it up very easily.

I love the way it is now changed so there is no need for FTP any more and it’s a very easy upload direct from the Plugin section in the Dash Board.

The plugin is very sophisticated now and has many more options..

I have been putting off updating, but as many of you out there have updated I thought it time I did…

WP Robot

There ia a series of very good videos that Thomas, the owner of the product has put out there. I suspect that many, like me, did not know they existed, so here is the link to the WPRobot Videos and of course while I have a very simple one just on the set-up, Thomas goes into more detail.

Social Networking in Plain English

I have just run one of my workshops this last weekend in Perth. I was trying to explain how important it is to do Social Networking.

There are at least 3 Social Networking Sites that I believe as an Internet Marketer you should belong to, of course there are many more but I really don’t have time to be active in any more than these.

Twitter

Facebook

Linkedin

Most of you will have heard of all of those I am sure unless you have been living under a rock.

I believe that when these groups were created they were not setup to be used as Marketing Companies and that is really what they have now become. I have to say that alot of my sales and now my database has grown from both Twitter and Facebook, they are both very powerful.

But what is Social Bookmarking?

I decided to pop this video into here for you to watch, I love the way this guy explains how this all works. There is one thing that too many people forget… there are 2 words in Social Networking… we are used to Networking and often forget the most important word these days and thats the word “Social”. Too many just get out there and sell, sell, sell in both Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In and just forget that one needs to be social as well. To take part in conversations and care…

As it stands right now I have a very high google page rank on one of my Twitter accounts. This has happened because I have been taking part and also I have almost as many followers as I have following. I also tweet so that must be what makes goole happy with what I am doing. I have other twitter accounts with various rankings… also I note that Google has changed and is now listing people’s Twitter accounts in googl, and in some cases my Twitter account is ranked higher than my Website. How amazing.

I use Social Networking to connect Socially with people and I believe to get the most out of Social Networking you should be doing the same.

I guess the other issue is, most don’t want to Tweet and don’t go near it because they believe they will be wasting time, well one needs to try it out and see the results. I have most of my Tweeting on automatic as you will see from earlier posts I believe in using tools to make things as simple as possible. My Twitter Adder software is amazing and worth a look at that’s for sure.

7 Tools Webinar – Learn To Automate

I held a webinar recently that showed folks how to automate their Internet Marketing Tasks.

There are so many amazing tools out there in the Internet World that can and will help you get things done quickly and more easily.

Nothing is totally automatic of course – you do have to do some work, but with these tools a lot less than you would normally do.

It does not matter if you are into Website Submission of all your sites, Bookmarking Submission, RSS Submission, automation tools are still available.

Article Marketing

Maybe you want to get articles out there by the thousands but you are not that good at writing or re-writing then there are amazing products out there for you to help with that as well. I have to say when I discovered this tool I was over the moon.

It can be a bit hard to get the start on the article so when I came across these 15000 Articles it helped me with giving at least launching an article. So what I do is check to see if there is an article there in the  15000 articles and if so, I can now take that, put it into the re-writer software, spin it and hey presto! there is another great article. The other part of the 2Marketing Tools is a submitter, and that then sends out your article to hundreds of directories for you. It’s fantastic…. so check that out on the webinar as well.

Automate Your Traffic

It can be very tedious sending your links out to the Social Bookmarking Sites and the Video Sites and so when I found this amazing product I was very happy. This allows you to send your links to whatever, it could be a link to your Website, an Article you have up in an article directory or a video you have in one of the Video places, whatever it is fantastic and will help you get your Maximum Exposure. This software offers you two options in purchase, I took the non monthly option and paid the $70 one off fee. I show you this product on this webinar as well. Worth a look at.

Automate Your Tweeting

One of the big things as we all know, unless you have been hiding under a rock is Twitter I love Twitter and it has been responsible for a whole lot of traffic and sales. But as I go around the world and train people I find that no one wants to tweet, they don’t have the time.. I thought the same so started on a journey to find some twitter software that could do alot of the work for me. I don’t really have time to do the Following and Unfollowing and all the tweets throughout the day… I have tried a few products both free and bought and finally decided on a product. The one I have chosen to use a recommend is brilliant and safe.

You have to be safe on Twitter as far as how many people you follow in a day etc or you can have your account shut down. So this program is fantastic and does the tweets for you, Follows the people, unfollows the people, send messages etc all on auto. Of course you do need to do some work in setting it up, but once done it is fantastic…

The 7 Tools To Internet Success

These are seminars I hole around the country in New Zealand. I got an email asking me to be interviewed on the TV about them. Wow my first TV interview.

I had all the questions sent to be before hand which I looked at and rehearsed… then she asked me different ones

I guess she was taken back abit by my amazing new skin I had got put on my laptop she just wanted to talk about that. It was fun I have to say, then she asked me where the Seminar was going to be held… opps complete mind blank..

It was interesting and fun, and boy does 6 mins go by really fast. Anyway all done now, and here is the interview.

New Zealand Internet Marketer

I have to say I am totally passionate about Internet Marketing, and about business Online and Offline in New Zealand particularly, but overseas as well. No matter where I speak I am asked the same questions..

1. Is there really money to be made online?
2. How long will it take to make it?
3. How much will I make?
4. Will one site give me enough money so I can retire?
5. How much time do I have to spend on my Online Business?

These questions and many more are great questions and all deserve an open an honest answer, which I am going to give via video, as I believe they are worth answering honestly and well.
